Wavelength is a series of meetups from 2023 to 2026, where we watch films from the archive. Despite the obvious root for the series title, it does not solely focus on canadian experimental cinema and has no affilations with the TIFF Wavelengths programme (which is in its 25th year as of 2025). So why is the series called "Wavelength"? Scroll down all the way to the bottom of the page to find out!
We found our home in the UofT Media Commons with great help from Mark and Dylan, without whom these meetups would not have been possible. Organized by Sam Lui, Kimin Park, Kenn Kao, and Joe Li, this series covers historical as well as contemporary classics on both narrative and experimental films, mostly on 16mm but once in a while also on Blurays and DVDs.
Send us a message if you are interested to join the next meetup! Cutoff day is Monday at the week of the screening, thanks!
